Tomorrow is our first day of school for the new year. I typically kick off a brand new year snuggling on the couch reading back-to-school books. With my boys off to high school and college, they no longer share this tradition with us. They think they’re to big. So, it’s just Em and me these days. As she gears up to enter her middle-school years here at home, she’s told me I can only read one. She’s slowly getting “too big” for my favorite back-to-school picture books. Sigh… So, I’m going to share my favorites with you. Maybe your littles will still be able to appreciate these books on the first day of school.

This week, I’m joining Katie, at Paradise Praises, to begin co-hosting What to Read Wednesdays. Last week’s most popular post was Character-Building Books for Raising Boys, Part 1 at Deep Roots at Home.
Now… on to this week’s link-up! We’d love for you to link up your own posts about Children’s Literature. Please grab the button and include it (if you wish) in your post or include a text link back to the page.
