Like most moms, my nights are often busy. With my high schooler’s busy social schedule and my middle schooler’s even busier dance schedule, I try hard to make the most of the nights when we’re all home for dinner.
Even though everyone is home at dinnertime, I don’t always have a ton of time to prepare dinner and get it on the table before someone is rushing out the door for an after-dinner activity. So, I need to make the most of the time we do have together.
I don’t want to be slaving over the stove preparing dinner. I’d rather whip up something quick and easy and spend my time chatting with my family over dinner.
As a busy mom of three, I’m always looking for ways to save money on my groceries while feeding my family a healthy dinner. Thanks to Hamburger Helper and a free pound of ground beef, I was able to do just that this week! I whipped up a Crunchy Taco dinner that my entire family loved, and I saved money doing it!
I cooked two boxes of Crunchy Taco Hamburger Helper, because I have two grown boys. I added my free ground beef, a little extra corn chips and some shredded cheese. Not only was this meal tasty and satisfying, but I had leftovers for lunch for the next two days! Even my daughter, who may be the pickiest eater on the planet, asked for seconds.
My boys pitched in to help cook dinner, and we were able to spend some time around the table catching up on each other’s daily news. Then, since the entire meal was cooked in just one pan, clean up was easy. Easy clean-up is a huge plus, as well, because I’m usually darting out the door after dinner to get my kiddo to dance.
