We got our first snow of the new year last week. Emma took advantage of her brother being home from school, and she spent the majority of the day outside. She shoveled the deck for the dogs. Then, she took the dogs to a nearby field to romp in the snow. She and her bestie spent a couple of hours sledding in the back yard, as well, before coming in for some hot chocolate and candy canes.
All this winter weather has found me with snowmen on the brain! I don’t particularly enjoy being outside in the cold. I’d much rather curl up with a good book in front of Modern Ethanol Fireplaces than be out getting cold and wet. However, Emma loves to be outside – even on cold winter days. So, I scoured the web looking for fun activities that she and her friends can enjoy beyond just building snowmen. Snowmen don’t happen often around here, because the snow is often too powdery.
