Easy Rice Krispie Pumpkins

Kids in the Kitchen

23 Feb

Are you looking for an easy fall treat for your little ones? These easy pumpkin rice krispie treats are perfect for any upcoming Halloween or Harvest Party gatherings you may be attending this fall.

They’d also look super cute on your Thanksgiving dessert table! The kids will love them. And, they’re so easy to make you can let the kids in the kitchen for this cooking project.

These easy rice krispie pumpkins are the perfect fall treat. Make them for your upcoming fall gatherings or just a fun afternoon treat. | embarkonthejourney.com

Easy Rice Krispie Pumpkins

All you’re going to do is prepare the rice krispie treats recipe that is on the box. However, when you add the marshmallows, you’ll add your orange (or red and yellow) food coloring. Once the mixture has cooled down, form it into little balls.

Push a little Tootsie Roll down into the top of each little ball, and you’ve now got pumpkin rice krispie treats! It doesn’t get much easier (and tastier) than that.

Great tip! I’ve got a boy who can’t have chocolate, so am always looking for fun treats that use other ingredients!

These are so cute. They would be a great fit with this month’s Littles Learning Link Up October Round Up as i am doing a pumpkin theme. Would it be okay if I included these Tara? I would be linking back to your post and possibly using a pic in a collage.
I would love it if you could email me at [email protected] to let me know if I have permission to use it.
    Thanks.

What a clever idea especially the Tootsie Roll. These would be the perfect treat for my son’s Halloween party at school. Thanks for sharing at the #Made4Kids Link Party!

These are cute! Great Thanksgiving treat for the kids. I think popcorn ball pumpkins made the same way would be cute too, and I love popcorn balls! Thanks for sharing!
